-Contractors and DOT's are coming up with creative solutionsto theresin shortageseen this year. As seasonal limitations close operating windows around the country, DOT's have been forced to approve waterborne paint instead of thermoplastic just to get pavement markings down as a means of public safety.
-Lawmakers are approaching the October 31st deadlineto find common ground and vote on infrastructure and reconciliation before highway funding expires. On the one hand, the house is blocking the bipartisan infrastructure bill until the Senate passes a broader spending plan. On the other hand, moderate Democratic senators oppose aspects of the reconciliation bill. $370 billion for highway and public transportation programs are on the line until both bills are passed.
