-EasyMile Driverless Vehicles authorized at level 4 in France. Level 4 means there will be no human attendant onboard. This will be Europe’s first testing of level 4 autonomous vehicles in mixed traffic on a public road.

-50 million barrels of oil to be released from US strategic reserve. The barrels are being released in a bid to lower global energy market costs that have found gas prices currently 50% above what they were this time last year.

-Traffic light tracking app in Vienna is expected to save fuel and emissions by up to 15%. Motorists and cyclists in Vienna can use the app to know what legal speeds they can travel to reach lights when they are green as well as how much longer a light will be red.

-General Motors will not invest where their renewable energy vision is not supported. Mexico will need to ensure they have a legal and structural framework that supports the production of renewable energy if they want GM to invest there.

-Arizona DOT cleans up 11,000 pounds of trash. The litter includes ladders, furniture, and other debris. Arizona is working to educate motorists on how to safely secure loads being conveyed via truck.

-Petroleum substitute from plants? Researchers at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities may have created a sustainable solution for petroleum. This new chemical could be a renewable solution for making plastic containers and bags, automobile parts, lubricants, and soap.
